MKV Converter?

Hi anyone know a good free MKV converter to AVI or AVC or something that will be easily played . . no timelimits, watermarks trials etc. . . thanks

There's a program called SUPER that can essentially convert anything to anything, but it's too much of a hassle for me to figure out, personally.
