So I just got cs4 since I don't have a 64-bit and I'm tired of always asking others to ramp my shit.
I don't know the first thing about ramping in after effects and I looked around a little to see if anyone posted something along the lines of this and couldn't find anything.

What should my clips be converted to in the process of doing the ramp?
(As in when I import the clips into ae)

I've watched adda's tutorial video and he uses .mov, i'm use to converting my clips to .mp4 so does that mean that I can just do the ramp with the .mp4 clips or do I have to convert them to that after I finish the ramps as .mov's, if so, can one of you suggest a good convertor for that?

I can't think of what else to ask, but anything you guys know will help me out, thanks a lot!

I have CS4 too, and I export them using the Hi-Def XVid codec (original files are .mpg) and the quality looks great for me. (remember s2 is all I do, and my vids aren't bigger than 640 x 360p).

About the ramping, I learned it thanks to youtube tutorials, there are some out there that really explain everything well and clear.

I dont know how adda does it. but you should be able to do it with MP4's... it's just a different video codec. it works just the same.

twixtor is dope. Is it better with 60 frames though?

Indeed. Canon's source footy @60fps, can be tweaked to more than 500fps I think. There're so many good slow-mo vids out there that were made with 550D's and Twixtor, they can't be more fluid.

Well so far, after countless attempts at trying to get a friendly format to output correctly, I finally got some progress and was able to get one clip all good for rendering so far.
The ramp itself isn't that great, but here it is.

I know the end of the clip speeds up a bit, which is another question I have.
When I go to the 'graph editor' and start to fiddle with the speed and such, It causes the time line to do some whacky movements like a wave, all the way from the start of the clip and the end, even with the time remapping key frames.
So I mess with it quite a bit and try to get both ends to go back to the 1.00 normal speed of the clip, but once I get the ramp all good, the end line is like .5 seconds faster and I can't level it out without affecting the ramp itself, what do I do?

and thanks for the help guys, means a lot.

Thanks dude, I got what you meant by click the first time you said it, haha.
I got my clips to look pretty good now, did about three ramps now and no whacky waves.

I was justin thinking to Myself.

Twixtor n Skate 3 Capturing clips at 10% speed with HDPVR, then going to mess with that in twixtor you could get some really good looking clips with minimal distortion I would believe.

yes it is meant to be used with 60 fps - if you have a pvr record in 720p NOT 1080i ! - 720p will give u 60 1080i will give u 30.
