"for once"?

Lords of Dogtown
Search for Animal Chin
Gleaming the cube

Edit

And after watching the trailer I'm not really that interested. Stereotypical portrayal of skateboarders and whatnot.

what?...a movie about the types of people that have given skaters such a negative stereotype you say? bleh bleh bleh...capitalism is evil and leads to the alienation of people...! I'm going to be a punk and rebell! Fuck the man, fuck the plan, lets get slammed and mess peoples shit up because having things is wack! We should reduce our desires for material things because a life of excess is fucked up and what the governement wants!....but man....if i dont get my crack...

I'd rather see a skateboarding movie with a bunch of kids in polos haha...im just talking shit ;)

i was not a fan of Lords of Dogtown. i was a huge fan of Dogtown and Z-Boys however. i'm not familiar with the other two i will have to look them up. i had movies like Grind, Street Dreams, Thrashin', ans MVP 2: Most Vertical Primate in mind when i made the title to this thread.

The name of the movie is "Stoked: The Rise and Fall of Gator". I saw it a few years back.

Growing up Gator was one of my favorite skaters. He got strange for a bit with
the whole name change from Mark "Gator" Rogowski to "Gator" Mark Anthony
and the being "reborn" thing, but he still came across as a pretty nice guy and
was still a damn good skater. It wasn't long before I graduated that I heard on
the news about what he had been arrested for. I still find it very odd that the
incredibly nice guy I met at a Vision demo back in the late 80's turned around
and did something like that. I'll always see him pulling big Method Airs on That's
Incredible or shaking my hand and offering me tips at the Vision demo in my
head. Too bad reality isn't that nice.

Cool, thanks man great watch.

Most of it was covered pretty thoroughly in Mullen's autobiography, so it wasn't all new to me. But still a great watch, and a different perspective of that era, not as Mullen focused.
