I feel like a lot of people don't really understand the concept of a trailer/teaser for their video.

It's supposed to make you want to watch the full video. Often this means including parts of clips from the full thing. Just throwing that out there.

I like to film them as separate videos.
If I have participants I have them film for the promo, and then the video.
Usually put out a teaser before the promo if it's a huge project.
