SOO00oo GREAT! I watched it live earlier and it really blew my mind. Definitely made my week in the hope for humans department lol. Undoubtedly one of the most memorable events I've ever watched via broadcast.

P.S Digging the new avatar, m.seven.

POV footage is for an upcoming documentary on BBC.
I was kinda sad we didn't have any during the fall... but i guess they didn't want blood explosion in case something went wrong at the speed of sound :P

thanks for the info man.can't wait to see that.
makes sense about not showing that footage live,CNN didn't even show the whole jump until he was safely on the ground for exactly that reason.

if you saw how fast he was tumbling, not falling but like doing flips, you probably would've gotten motion sickness from POV. it was like 1 full rotation every second when he first started freefalling.

Since I saw now GoPro ads, I bet the POV shots have been filmed with hi-tech portable cameras, which, I bet they'll look amazing.
Or is there any GoPro sonic speeds protection case?

i'm sure whatever they filmed the POV shots with was tested to be able to survive and function during the jump.i'm willing to risk the motion sickness to see it.

yah that was nuts. I bet they were getting ready to cut the feed if he didnt stop flipping

I think i heard him say "i thought I was gonna pass put"

the announcers didnt say shit about the flipping lol. They did mention when he got to a stable free fall tho.

Yes pretty sure I heard him say he thought he was about to pass out. Considering he had to meet with a sports psychologist before this jump to deal with the panic attacks he started getting just prepping for this, I consider the fact that he even jumped to be amazing.

I wish I had the presence of mind to attach a heart monitor once he got to 120k and higher; once they told him to release the seat belt I broke out in sweats...

Dude is a living legend.

even tho balls out impressive; he still didnt beat joe kittingers record for freefall; the suit was too light and wasnt a brick like he had back 50 years ago; i still give mad props to GI joe over Felix ( mad respect) because joe had the technology of a wristwatch jumping from that altitude and there was millions of dollars in this research; but they did do it for a good reason to help future private flights be able to do an emergency jump fr4om the strat; probably wont help them since felix has almost 3000 jumps under his belt and could actually controll the ragdoll flipping for the first 2 minutes of free fall- but its the first step into something greater.
