1: at 1:10 switchflip bsts made ginger girl in background smile
2: frontnose 270 outs like nothing, does them twice
3: the line at 2:20 whoelse would do that?
4: switch treflip like nothing in berlin (3:14)
5: 3:33 nollie bs 180 switch fs 5050 switch bs 180 out the hard way

all you want, lines for days bsflips high as a building and a style like nothing really matters, and the tricks he does are not to shabby either.

I watched Brandon Westgate's shoe release part yesterday, and realized's it's the best part I've ever seen, period. Nyjah's Rise n Shine, P-Rod's nollie lateflip part, T-Puds Big Bang, all of Daewon's crazy parts, Gonzales Possesed, Gilette's Unlimited, Figgy's and Suciu's Cross Continental are all great videos but Westgate's is just right up my alley with the perfect blend of tech-pop-style-insanity...

Okay, to be frank, there can be NO denying that nyjah's had the best year. Also, he does some crazy ass tech shit, that no one else does, and he does that shit in tournaments. Don't get my wrong, I am not a nyjah fanboy, but no one, NO ONE, can say that he hasn't had an amazing year, nor that he's not one of the best best best skateboarders right now.
He deserves, as much as any other skateboarder on that list, to be soty, if not more. Yes Gonz, Mark, and Austyn all had amazing parts, probably some of the best parts in skateboarding history, and I personally enjoy seeing them skate FAR MORE than Nyjah's expressionless skateboarding, but he does do some of the best tech skateboarding out there.
There's a reason he won almost every single fucking contest that were possible to win. I believe, for that, he deserves just as much respect than any other skater out there!

Tbh I don't really see a "contest" skater winning SOTY (i.e. Nyjah, in most of those dudes eyes street league is wack as fuck so I wouldn't be surprised if that docked him a few points.)
I think the biggest forerunners in this are David and Figgy due to their heavy ties with thrasher as of late (figgy has a fucking bobble head with thrasher...)
Still routing for Dennis (who should have gotten it ages ago) and Guy (also should already have been SOTY) though. Guy is going to be much more competition for the other dudes after Pretty Sweet, according to everyone his part is going to be beyond retarded.

Re-watch Suciu's part.

-Day skating/Night skating
-Tricks in both stances (high difficulty ones too)
-Short bangers and long lines (few other parts had this and some of the lines were switch too)
-Smooth style, quiet & humble guy
-Fantastic edit

i watched the Bones Brigade documentary a few days ago and they talked about how so many guys hated Tony Hawk cause he always won contests and was changing the way vert was skated.

Nyjah could get skater of the beer but i wouldnt give it to him yet. He's trying too hard too fast. I mean if your gunna give someone an award for how fast they can crank out trophies and video parts each year you might as well give one to everyone. Id rather give soty to someone who has been progressing for a while and it shows in their footage. Nyjahs rise and shine was the start of big step in his progression, but i want to see more. Guys part in pretty ugly to me showed that not only did he take what he had from fully flared and progress, but he really tried hard to out-do all the other shit he's had out. not gunna get into it that much, but i think nyjah's gunna need a few more parts and solo's to really prove to me he's soty material.
