For those who have been asking, its official my ps3 cant be fixed. Im not working so cant afford a new one. And if I could, IDK if I would get one anyway. I have a tank computer that can run games like skyrim on high settings. More so, It wont be long until ps4 is out. Maybe my view will change when I get a job and have money to spend, but for now it seems unlikely.

I'll still be in the community and edit.

I hope man. If anything I would buy a new one when I get a job. The only thing is right now I see it as shelling out 300 bucks, only to spend another 600 when ps4 comes out all the while having a computer that is more powerful than a ps3

anyone know how i can pirate a s3 copy for pc? hahaah. I've looked into it. And all the ps3 or xbox emulators are seriously shady. Most real person replys says they are super glitchy and only work for a couple games

I would think we were a while off from next gen consoles
Nothing is going to beat the raw processing power of the best computers
and if a next gen console comes out quickly without any notice

No more DVD/Bluray/CD, all digital media?
Or better graphics?
Will Sony and Xbox be different?
Xbox seems to be copying PS3 lately..
I waited a while to invest when xbox 360 came out. I want good reason to buy something new.
If my xbox 360 died I wouldn't even be thinking about the next console coming out..
How many games will they have? Is it going to die off.. no more old games.. no more skate?
Original xbox games have restrictions on xbox 360.

Naw, im just sayin Nintendo having a new console out puts pressure on the other companies to put one out. Im sure Sony wouldnt care too much. But M$ seems like they would. Always trying to one up with buying exclusives and all that bullshit. So THAT puts pressure on Sony to keep up.

And for those who don't know, this is my second ps3. I had a launch one, it died and I sent it away to get a refurb. 200 bucks. Then that one fucked up. Probably giving up on it man. They took enough of my money.

I have a lot of games, but I can give them to my brother or trade them in and get pc games. I will keep a lot because I figure the next systems will be backwards compatible.

From what I'm getting through recent talks, is that the next gen consoles are pretty much completed. While the games are just now being worked on. This is from three different telephone calls to the good people at EA, ubisoft, and another I'm going to go into detail about in my next post on my 'funding for new skate game' thread.
Anywho, so yeah it looks at this point that I've got a singular investor and a few good leads but these talks have been about a new skate game for the next gen. We don't want to have a ps3 title released and then see everyone migrate to the next consoles, which are, by what I've been told- months, not years away from being officially released in the news at least. This post has been really rushed, I promise to inform everyone of the new news when I have a minute. Good news is, we've got something close to six figures initial investment (unofficially of course).
