I don't have a lot of experience with many different mics. Have used just a Shure SM 57 for a long time. Do you know if its a condenser or a dynamic mic? Also are you gonna be running this straight into your computer or do you have an audio interface/preamp? Because honestly that makes a much of difference sound quality wise than a mic upgrade, and it'll really help you get the most out of a quality mic. But a solid mic never hurts, looks like a really nice set up, enjoy :)

so maybe at one point or another
I put down a few lines to test it out. It's laughable how much better it sounds already.
Just gotta mess with my sound levels and I should be making some pretty decent stuff soon.

Hell yeah man. Go for it. Lil Wayne has his moments, I don't love everything he puts out but he's not the worst.
That's the right mindset though. Even if you don't respect Lil Wayne as an artist, if he does it so can anyone else.
I'm messing with some lyrics currently..
I've got a ton of material but I should be dropping a minute to 2 soon using the new setup.
Between that and a New skate 3 solo coming out :p Likely skate vid first.
