My wife's side of the fam decided to do homemade gifts for the exchange this year. I had been messing around with the brushes app on my IPhone and was more than excited to put it to good use. It is pretty freaking amazing what phones can do these days. I originally expected to do about 6 or so of these but I had at least 20 or so hours time into the 2 that I did.

this was a video I made of my first brushes app painting

The two pics I made :
One of my niece for my wife's sister and husband

The other of my wife's brother who passed shortly after the photo for her Brother and his wife (he still owns the car which is pretty rad)

Wow SG, its always refreshing to see people using their smartphones for CONSTRUCTIVE purposes instead of just facebook n porn. Hats off to you for that. Its nothing short of amazing that these were originated on your phone! They look gallery ready, you did the right thing by framing them. I'm also glad that your posted more of your art on here. I still remember the bee you did with sharpies (or just marker). These are some solid gifts here.
Good job as always dude.

I respect your patience.

I can only only paint with aerosol or brushes...not a touch screen haha

It's not a bad medium, currently maybe my favorite. It's ez to adjust and erase which is nice. For years the only art I did was the GC and it gave me bad habits. I haven't used guides for a long time because you can't waste objects (in the original gc you only had a hundred something) Guides especially for faces has always helped me with scaling.

I used a stylus for these, it does a better job with pinpointing where your drawing. A finger is so wide you never know where it will mark. There is limitations on a phone though, you are limited to pin stroke. The face of the guy on the car would of been better on a iPad. His eyes were almost impossible to get any better even zoomed in all of the way.

Thanks for the kind words. I wish I had more time because there are changes I would like to address. Stuff that isn't as obvious til you print it so big
