im back. put together a return video. turned out pretty good if i say so. it feels really good to be back after such a long time.



Id advise against watching it full screen. You cant tell the frame rate is lower with it embedded. but its more apparent when its full

These clips were uploaded directly to youtube from my ps3 then to my computer. they did not pass through the skate reel. The quality off youtube is a bit less than the skate reel. And the frame rate is lower too. there is nothing I could do about that. for some reason im not able to upload anything to the reel, so it was this, or nothing. and its not that bad.

For a minute i was about to post lord of the rings clips in this. The one scene where Gandalf returns hahah.
But then the video was a bit too good for it so i just decided to post a picture of return of the boyband.

At 3:58 i realized that i'm not the only person wearing sunglasses in the dark lol. Liked all those small filler shots with bite of humour in them.

Overall greatest return this year. 6/5

There were some interesting tricks in there
Fastplant, bonk.. (blunttap?)
Footplant, tail on the fence was such a big fucking trick for that tiny area. Loved that bit.
I think when anyone comes back after a while they tend to settle for certain clips because of it.
I've done it myself. Just need to get back into that banger, intentional mindset.
Maybe throw some variations of things in there so you really drive home what you meant to do.
Otherwise, A Good edit. I enjoyed watching it.

I really am never sure how to take your posts dude. Pretty much every trick was intentional. Im not going on accidental tricks. The only one that was a bit of luck was the revert to manny to tail stall near the end there where i was hitting the spot inside the building at the old factory. and Powerslides into blunts is fucking hard from odd angles. And the last nose to tail without an ollie hit that ledge ive never seen anyone touch before.

You did say you enjoyed it, for that I am happy.

1:13 you got my there. it wasnt a mongo. it was a no comply to shuv that was accident number 2. happy accidents happen. looked really awesome tho like he was kicking the board. my lighting fast thumb made it happen tho :cool:
2:18 was a powerslide to stall. I wanted to hit the low ass ledge under that rail.
And 2:23 wasnt accident at all. it was a powerslide to stall. I like going in things with no ollie. looks smooth....well, looks smooth to me anyways. if it seems like an accident, maybe not lol.

could use more variation when it comes to more lines. I really hate lines. I feel everyone else does enough lines so i hit small weird shit. cant really get small shit into lines. and i got a little crazy with powersliding into shit ahhaa.

Been keeping this on the backburner for when I was really eagerly awaiting it haha, song choice was sick, lots of great angles and filming, liked the manual tricks because I'm awful at them lol. Couple of the tricks were a little wierd, maybe didn't really feel like tricks to me lol, like that plant in the little ditch thing at 2:30. That line at 3:00 is nuts though, the double grind on the bench really killed it. Not sure how you pulled off that handplant/bail to rewind and make haha, must be 2 clips but the angle is perfectly similar, puzzled me on that one.

Everything was sick like always, great cinematic shots and editing, I wish it went out with more of a banger and what not, seemed to just kind of fade off but I enjoyed it a lot, always look forward to your stuff and it's great seeing you skate again instead of just editing community stuff lol. Keep em coming! :cool:

I admit its a weird trick but thats exactly why I did it.

But yah now that i think of it that line you mentioned at 3:00 should have been the banger. that for the fence foot plant to stall like a few mentioned

I faded out the clip at the ebd cause the song faded out. I just love that song so after the clip I focus on the guitaring haha. thats just me.
