Not what you thought?

So, T-shirts.
Anyone here have them made, for their website or something?
I haven't drawn in a long time but I started sketching out some ideas by hand.
Not sure how I would get it online..
sketch tablet, fine tune details in an art program or something similar.
I was wondering about copyright stuff..
There are a lot of games I enjoy playing or have enjoyed playing
Would it be legal to do something using characters from those games on tees?
Some of them are really simple even.. Just changing the title of the game in a clever way.
I don't think I'd get much money from it but I was just wondering if that sort of thing is legal
I think it Would be a cool way to get back into art. Cheesy game tees?

References are legal, actual art or likenesses from the games are not.
For example: You could have made a shirt for 12/21/12 with the date, saying "start saving bottlecaps" in reference to the Fallout series. However, you could NOT have the Fallout Logo, Vault boy, etc.

EDIT: As long as you're making ONE SHIRT for YOURSELF, it's easy to get away with it, but trying to sell it can cause problems.

Yeah that's what I was guessing.. I actually did a fall out one. Haven't done much with characters
Guess I could roll with text tees.
I'll let you guys know if I come up with anything worth sharing.
I'll probably throw around a few Skate community tee ideas.. Fluckit, Likebutter. We'll see.

honestly, there's been countless "t-shirt company" start-ups that essentially got left in the stage where a single design was made and then it ran out of steam.

Yep.
Was thinking about just importing custom graphics to a company that produces them.
Not like I was going to make them all myself..
I wouldn't submit one idea and quit there though. I've always got ideas.
I'd probably do them all in one go, organize the graphics and then submit the shirts.
There are a few companies that do hats and coffee mugs too.
I believe buyers just order from the company..
the preview is online and posted on a website if I get that far
I don't think I'm charged anything
I'll be looking into it some more though.
