Experiment I say!
My project is always 720p and I render to 1080p
For some reason it has the best results for standard def slightly sharpened capture card footy.

I was gonna edit and pull out before I got too deep and cant answer. I only know that my .flv clips are converted at 720p resolution and I render in same settings.

I would think the settings would depend on what resolution you want, file type, bitrate, fps etc. I cant check it now sorry since I dont have access to my private computer.

Just saw Antwans post, yeah experiment, I spent days trying to figure it out, had like 45 min renders and then noticing something was wrong, delete, render again 45 min :p

Well, once youve gotten the settings down, make sure you save a template for it. And thats it, no more experimentation and you got your stuff as you want for future projects :)

On the topic of Vegas 10, is that version able to use .flv files? Im thinking about what Bohemian said in the settings thread.


for optimal quality on your footage, edit the flv files directly, export as a container (quicktime or similar) and upload.

I'd like to try that but y'know, Vegas 8 doesnt support it and I dont want to buy the wrong version.
