Looking to meet some folks perhaps older than 12 (at least in maturity). Skated most of my life, but no longer since I like my bones too much. Then I found Skate. Now I skate vicariously through the controller.

Oh, regarding the Title of this post - it's so hard to find "adults" when skating online. Maybe joining this group will change that.

Stop bitching about your bones is probably the best advice I could give you.

Oh and there is a lot of us around here.
Welcome to fluckit

What I meant is....
Get out there and push your board around.
You don't need 3 flips and 5 sets to still be a skateboarder

exactly what SG said,
I'm almost 40 and I still strap on two ungodly uncomfortable knee braces and skate around every once in a while.
welcome

Wow, friendly people here. Thanks for the welcome.

I'd love to push the board around again, but I made the decision to quit. Back surgery will help you make those kinds of decisions in life. The reality is, I usually hurt myself doing the simple things like nose manuals, ollieing up and down curbs, pushing off, etc, and walked away fine after stair attempts and failed rail slides. The signs were there: No going pro in my future!

Thanks again.

The age poll helped. And I'm 13 here too, turning 14 in about a month.

I started skating when the tail was longer than the nose.
