How we would have made skate !

So there I was, eating ice cream in the magical land of my house! I was all like "yummy ice cream", then i thought of ways that i would make the skate franchise. They obviously failed in some aspects. I was wondering, how you guys would make the game.

Well my idea is basic, i was thinking, that their would be one huge city, (for the realistic skaters) and basically make what a city would be like, with like places that arent meant to be skated, and you could get kicked out and shit. (i always see spots that i would skate in gta and that is not meant for skating. Day/night cycle, use of generators, diy spots, interactive people, skate stoppers, wax, etc. all that stuff we love. So that would be realistic mode, aand for the unrealistic skaters, just make a huge mega park just to be skated. And make them in completley different areas maybe even make another city that is unrealistic.

I could ramble on for hours, but i dont want to waste your time.

Heres a huge list of what i would want:

Day/night cycle
wax
interactive people
security
skate stoppers
board snap
injuries that lower your ability for only a limited time
cruiser decks to get around easier
not meant to be skated city
more clothing choices
allow everybody to have their own look, (maybe even make it able to scan your face)
more realistic physics
better sounds
small community parks
generators
more tricks
flick longer gives the board more spin
better and more styles
made up pro skaters not real ones (maybe)

Weather cycle
When it´s raining you have to search an indoor spot (hope it will not rain every 10 min)
After the rain, some water puddle can stay, offering new ways to skate spots
Skateshops are back !
You can break your board and some other parts of your deck (bearings if you are skating dirty spots...)
The skater style is defined automaticly based on what spot you skates
On some spots you can be randomly kicked by a security guard.
Less ia skaters everywhere!
Realistic spots
Some unrealistic ones (because sometimes it´s funny)

I would put that in their to make the game harder and more of a challenge, it is really boring right now for me cause its getting to easy, (i understand, that is where i am supposed to get creative) if their where skate stoppers and security, etc. the game would be a million times better imo! Plus a cruiser board could help you get around easier to spots and or demos. Wax would be cool, because it would seem more real, like if the ledge wasnt sliding enough then you would wax it XTREMAZOID - there is no interactive waxing in skate 2! Board snap would be cool, the you have to maybe rde on you cruiser to a skateshop and get a new deck their.

Board snap would be cool, the you have to maybe rde on you cruiser to a skateshop and get a new deck their.
I would fucking rip my xbox apart if that would happen after 4 hours of trying. (every pro skater have reserve boards with them at all times btw, so no need to get back to a shop)

You make it sound like they didn't listen to us when making these games.
I always felt like we heavily influenced it's development.
In the end, They are the team developing this game and not us.
Nothing REALLY changed, a few New Tricks?
We still have our core game, flick it.
New city as asked.
City and Object scale was never an issue before Skate 3.
Now it's too big.
I don't know.
I personally hate the thought of it getting any more realistic..
Then we don't have to manipulate the game to get it done anymore

Day/Night Cycles Blow man. Not a fan of it being hard to see.
Far Cry 3 as an example.. Randomly gets dark every few minutes and I Hated that.

even playing the game "realistically" requires a bit of manipulation to get a trick to look exactly the way you'd like.
anybody can flick the sticks around and make some trick,but getting it to look good with proper looking animations,head tracking,etc. takes some work.

This may have been said already, but things like waxing ledges, getting hurt, breaking boards, skate stoppers, and all that "realistic" stuff would get monotonous and BORING (maybe even aggravating) within a month of the game coming out.

I think having the option to wax the ledges as an animation, not a requirement or add skate stoppers or turn on the option to break a board would be cool to add to videos, but as a requirement. NO NO NO, terrible idea.

Not only that, but it adds a ton of development time and doesn't allow the developers to focus on the things they should have. Forinstance, head tracking on switch crooks, level design, etc...

Just my two cents.

I wish they would have added a bunch more animations to make filming more interesting, landing animations, bails, and doing things like throwing your board, focusing it, waxing, etc...

The whole maps from the previous games as DLC.

Fixed head tracking on switch tricks.

and a slew of other stuff. Too late though... hopefully whoever makes the next skateboarding game will use our critiques of this game as a starting point.

It would be cool to get a realistic scenario !

For example :

In a mission you have to climb over a wall to enter a garden with an empty pool, and you have to make some trick for the filmer. The the neighboor call police and you have to run, following your friends, then you find a new spot and stay until the end of the mission, filming some tricks.

I just want a better park editor, some no comply tricks and a random board break animation that occasionally happens when you bail a trick. Also, the ability to have more than one tattoo maybe? I just want a new Skate game, they can do what they like, I'll still put a million hours into it.
