Along with Battlefield Bad Company 2, Medal Of Honor and more, EA has made Skate 3's equivalent to the online pass, the Share Pack, now free.

But what's the point when .create and .reel is gone forever?

it's got nothing to do with skate 3 in particular. after announcing to discontinue their online pass practice, they kill all the online passes of all their released games and the share pack is just one of them. so if you buy a used ea game now, you won't need an online pass, even if it's an old game.
