if you want 4:3 ratio, dont render it to that. It will just squish it. crop it properly and it will look normal.

but keep in mind you have to film it for SD at well

easy if ur playing on an SD TV but not if u got HD

I got the opposite problem.

I play on SD so when I film I have to imagine the sides of the video is there

Basically, you know how when vx footy gets stretched to fill the screen and it looks like shit? This is that, but the opposite way. You squish in the footage, making things look weird. You'd have to crop out the sides of the footage so that it doesn't squish, leaving out the vig. You'd have to add a vig to it while editing if you want one.

well if you want to keep that 720p quality, simply just put black bars to the sides of your video..... easy, sharp.. thats what i would do

nope i use the mac equivalent...iMovie. Also guys, i know wht your saying now but isnt the squished look the whole reason you would put your vid in 4:3 in the first place? i was more asking if i should have the black lines THAT wide, or have them thinner, and how you could make them thinner. I
really appreciate the advice though lads.

Compression never looks better. Also, iMovie isn't gonna do it right for you.

No.

It would be to have a more effective fisheye look or an old school SD look
