Merge glitch help?

So I delete my DLC, re-download, and decline the update as usual... But when I try to edit the c.a.p, the objects don't merge and I can't even put 2 things together. What do?

Aaaand the collision option isn't showing up...

Ok you gotta update it to the latest version, then you go to any cap when there you go to collision and make sure its off then change your clothes or the settings force the little lightning bolt save in the bottom right corner then do the glitch
