im rocking a pair of neon blue Perry Mid etnies right now.

I also heard Supra's are very good and strong for the soles. (skytops), or Lakai Manchesters.

The several pairs of Fallen's I've ridden in have stood up pretty well in the toe area. They arent vulcs though.

I'm not gonna lie, I have a pair of DC Dyrdek's (I think...) and they've held up really well. I only started skating them cause they were on clearance and I needed shoes bad and I thought they would suck, but they're actually really good.

haha exactly. My friend skates with some eckos (why?) and had holes, LOTS, and duct taped them. I give props to him for even wearing them to school

I can remember when Duct- taped shoes were a sort of status symbol--meant you were a true skater. --That, and shoe-goo.

i just picked up some circa AL 5.0's on clearance.... $20.
so far so good. about a month, no tears.
skating about every other day, at least a couple hours at a time.

i never spend more than $30 on shoes. lol

About the whole duct tape thing, my friend skates in Converse and buy the time he decided to get new shoes, the only part of the shoes that weren't duct taped were the soles and slight remnants of the sides of the shoes.

the toe is ripped open pretty good right.
and its at the 'whatever' stage. so im skating with them, working on backside flips cuz i suck at em, and the WHOLE TOE, like the entire front flap, just opens up!

wth man?! hows that even happen? haha
duct tape time.
