Having a problem with my Elgato

So, after a long time of not usig it, I plug it in to start recording, but it just tells me "connect your capture device to get started." It is fucking connected. Haha. I reset it, updated it, uninstalled it, reinstalled it. Still the same damn thing. Any help?

I don't know dude, maybe if it happens to mine and I figure it out I'll let you know. Could be a damaged cord or something within the cap card.
