reminds me of something that happened last winter season, in real life.
this guy, played on the same division as i did, rival team. naturally.
tripped me 5 times in one game. 5 penalties. No, i didn't dive, i didn't have to, we're talking full sweep legs out from under me kind of trips.
after the last one, i laughed right in his face... of course. no retaliation on his end. i was suprised. won the game 2 - 0. I had the second goal that night. game winner baby... haha

Next time we play them ends up being a month and a half later....
trust me, this guy didnt forget about me at all.

first cross corner dump of the game, i skate around him... seemed too easy... i turned and play the puck behind the net, get a pass off, and out of the corner of my eye i see him, full f------- speed coming right for me.
no where to go, so i brace and drop my should.
he does the same.
(ps. i'm 5'9" 175lbs. he's 6'3" 215lbs.)

major hit, totally legal.
separated my elbow.


...he laughed right in my face. they won 1 - 0. HIS goal.

i got a story too.
rival team as well. in a tournament championship (sounds cliche as hell)

im on a breakaway and this kid gets his stick right into my skate and pulls me down, gets a good whack on the behind my knee...those hurt.

so im getting up, and hes a good way down the ice already with the puck. i haul ass all the way down the opposite side and cut in Fast. he had some kid knocked over beside him, and while he winds up for a shot, i come from the side, lunge over this kid, fly a good 4 feet past him
and Wreck him, helmet popped off and everything, dropped his stick, obviously no shot on net.


it could not have worked out more perfectly. i dont even remember who won haha

Today has been exciting.
Ducks just got their first goal in less than 4 mins in the 1st.

Flyers got 2 goals on their first 2 shots in 4 1/2 mins in the 1st earlier today.
6 - 3 win over Pens!

the chicago vs. calgary game was INTENSE last night! flames up 2-0 first period.. 2nd period chicago comes back with 3 goals.. now we lead the series 2-0! in calgary on monday night but im goin to see neil young! i'll be wearing my blackhawks shirt to the concert though ahha..

But, Chicago won't survive trying to go tit for tat with Detroit or Anaheim... IMO.
Trust me, I want Chicago to take it all the way to the stanley... but the way the Canucks shut down the neutral zone for almost a whole game is going to be cause for concern. Detroit especially, are the masters of zone control and shutdown.

In 09, you build your "pro" to play with online.
you customize everything to your liking.
then when you play online, you use your guy only, in your position.

its pretty fkn sweet, and worth the purchase/rip... if your into hockey games at all.
