When I saw this, I just got this weird feeling that Skate 4 could be a possibility. Please don't get your hopes up, I am not. I just wanted to toss around the idea that Skate 4 could be an announcement. What if?

I know that NHL, Madden, Star Wars BF3, and a few others have already been announced and Tiger Woods won't be coming out this year as they're taking a break. What does that leave to be announced? Some new IPs, a new Mass Effect, a new Titanfall (a little early for that though, I think), ??? There's definitely going to be some new stuff or a surprise here or there. Perhaps I'm just still in denial that the Skate series is over... I don't know.

What if all this hypothetical non sense is right? Would a new Skate even be the same or better? Would they build upon what made the series great and improve what made it questionable? Would some of the same team be back or even be willing to go back? I don't know.

Just keep an eye on E3... anything could happen. Probably not what we want though...

I would think we would of got at least a wiff of something happening if it was going to happen.
Unless it has been abandoned by ANYONE we know. If thats the case I'm not sure I would even care. I just don't see this franchise having the pull to make another

It's a long shot, believe me, I know.

As for catching some early word, I don't even know if that would actually happen. All the contacts I have from EA don't work there anymore or come here anymore.

That's already been announced also. These are supposed to be six new announcements.

I think skate has already seen its glory days my friends.
I seriously doubt they would pick it back up after what they considered a failure sales wise.
I would put my money on nba live or new engines for fps/adventure games.
The way EA Took onto blackbox and skate to give it a shot amongst the other titles,
I wouldn't doubt a new genre is on a back burner.
Even then, it needs to be successful to proceed as we have all bared witness to skates tragic demise.
In short, when money runs games, never get your hopes up.
Accept what you get, love it unconditionally.
I could rant all day about how reviews are inaccurate to my experiences gaming.
How it's all about the profit, and no one stops to get to know a game before bashing it for the next magazine deadline or website post article.
As a gamer you basically need to sign up knowing projects may fail.
They won't get everything right under intense pressure.
Plus you have to pay for updates for the game after it's release, which some companies can't afford.
I'll stop here, you get what I'm saying.

Maybe a SL game could happen with its popularity, but not another Skate franchise game. They'd stay away from the name....even if they used similar coding.

It would be neat to see what the series would do on next gen. I doubt it though. EA's about 'whats now' and the action sports genre has lost steam unfortunately. Maybe everyone telling everyone to get off the Xbox and go skate actually worked.

Hell i would even take an EA.Skate remastered type thing for next gen. Then at lease i could get rid of my 360.

skate and HBO GO are the only reasons I have my 360

Welcome to the industry. Money talks, not loyalty.
