Very sad day indeed, was a massive influence on my skating through Skateboarder magazine....100% skater for life and death...RIP Jayboy you will be missed but never forgotten....

Skateboarding was so much more structured before him. He definitely helped make skating a individualized form. He brought expression and style into skating. I say HE... There were many others, but HE was definitely the most notable person to do this. And didn't want anything for it. There is a little J in all of us today
