There are a lot of fake-skate videos out there with popular songs. But how do you avoid a copyright strike? I'm working on a video but I'm not sure if I can use the song(s) I want. So is there a process you have to go through or do the record labels just not care enough?

what I normally do is search the Song on Youtube itself, and if you see a bunch of people who already uploaded it (and arent like VEVO), then most likely your good to go

It will notify you that it's copyright, and all you have to do is acknowledge that it is. I've used many songs like that and never got a strike.

Wait, how do you acknowledge that? Sorry if I'm sounding dumb here.
