day and night cycle?

after looking through some of the skate 2 photos i relized it could have a day and night cycle

While lighting spots up would be cool...I think that Sunset/Sunrise photo is more of a "this is what a horizon shot looks like for up here" than it is a signal to a Day/Night cycle in a world.

I wouldn't care for the idea of a "cycle" but I would definitely like it if you could set the time of day you want and freeze it like that :)

Nice if it was. Youd be able to get lighting for dramatic effects and a bonus: Security guards watch by day, but at night most of the skaters come out and guards off duty so u can skate freely

Yeah the reason I want a cycle is cuz then the guards won't be there at night or when it's raining, and things'll be more slippery when it's raining or has rained.:p

i agree it could get really annoying...

i can't decide if i'd want a cycle or not...kinda leaning towards no

but like someone said, it'd be kinda nice to at least set a shot to "night" just to get some different lighting

I'd like it so long as the cycle wasn't too short. They'd have to give pretty decent chunk of time to each part of the day.

it would be nice to have, but then there would have to be liek some sort of night element to the game, which would probably take more time to make considering most of the game is better played when at night. idk its cool, but idk if itll wokr for skate 2

Well, what I think would be cool is if some spots were completely not accessible during the day and vice versa. Also, if you create a freeskate session with friends then you can choose the time of day.

i like the idea of ight and day and i think it is possible tht it is in the game because i have seen 2 diferent pictures tht are in the same area and one had a sunset going on and the other was like mid day.

night time would add another whole new prospective to this game. i think it would be good for the more serious skaters like me and my team.

and if your online in freeskate i think it should be just like GTA how u can choose to start in the mornng or daytime or night but whatever you choose the time of day will still change.

have it based on real time, like using the dashboard clock or sumthin, might be too long though

It should give you the ability to change the time of day when your skating ( almost how roller coaster tycoon olets you change if its sunny or dark out.

Wouldnt work. especially cause alot of people play during night more so theyd always be on night.

it could work, everything moves fast, it not like REAL TIME, cause well the only way it changes is when ur playing, u make it sound like even when we arnt playing the time still goes. the way i see it a whole minute in real time could equal and hour in the game or somthing like that

I'm fairly positive there will not be a day and night cycle, atleast a real-time thing like GTA games.

Who knows though, there could be certain challenges that require like a photo shoot with flood lights or something. That would be sick.

what they could do with a day/night cycle is have certain no skate spots guarded by security in the day, but open at night while others are the opposite.

not very realistic, but just a thought :)

Dude, if it was lined up with real time that'd be sick! Ya know, get up a couple hours before school so you can skate with the sun coming up. OMG!:D:D:D

Day/Night cycle would be cool if...

1) It was optional

And

2) If it was in 'real time', you staring playing at midnight (for example) then the game would be set at midnight. Just a thought?
