Okay so I am mostly just posting this to see if people would record themselves filming in any Ea Skate game. I think it would be kinda cool to get a behind the scenes look at how each person on here films and what goes into making there videos! If you guys dig the idea let me know what you think.

instead of making up that excuse, why dont you just ask people for tips on how to film..?

Im certainly not opposed of this idea.... BUT
I film in so many different ways (similar but never the same), it wouldn't make much sense for me to make a video of just one clip that I happened to film in that "style"

I never really have a set MM or a set way of filming, I do what looks PHAT!! (to me)

I see I see you gotta point there.

I think its a great idea. Even if it only gives a tiny glimpse of how each person might approach it, it is still very interesting and a great resource for any newcomers.

You could make it work if you wanted to gather every piece of information you can about filming in skate 2/3 for an organized thread. People could submit or link you to tutorials. Something I wanted to do. Project Session is close though.
I think seeing all techniques/methods versus just one clip would be the most useful.

I film backwards, i film the roll-out first then work my way back. that way you always get a smooth cam.
Been doing it all the time, i thought that is how everyone films lol

I'll assume that was directed towards me, and i honestly have no idea.. it's just a shitty clip, but you get the idea of the process i go through.

it's not about the tricks and you should film however the way you want, but it's just that I've never seen anyone film like that and I would certainly advise you to film a line like that with a fisheye close-up, it'll really look better

So how is it useful for showing someone how to film? the process of choosing angles, choosing mm and choosing where you put your markers is completely different when you're filming with a fisheye.. jus'sayin'..

I'd make one of these, but I couldn't be fucked trying to film a 10 minute long vid while holding my iphone steady hahah
Pretty interesting to see the different approaches that people have for filming though
Solid thread idea Coast

Filming in skate 2 is so much more difficult than skate 3 though haha.
I didn't even mess with lenses until skate 3 dropped.
I still use the standard sizes for everything.
I only like smaller sizes for the way tricks pop out, after the trick it's incredibly small.
The higher sizes are odd too.. Ridiculous trying to slowly move the camera back to center.
I get it though. Good for beginners to see all of their options.
Film how you want!
