hey so here is the thing, i want to get some trick recorded, and i got one friend with a vx 1000 but he is lazy as f@ck and never want to use it...what a waste, so i though i should buy my own camera, nothing fancy...

but i realise i didnt know a damn thing about camera, what do you guy use, what work good ?

i got about 300-400 to throw at that thing...

also i got a old mini dv panasonic that my mom got for me in high school when i was working on project, but i always thinked it had shitty quality and you cannot shoot at night... wich is mostly when i skate....

i know i am starting from the bottom, so you guy have any imput ?

Not sure why you would hold on to one if you arent filming.

No problem. Thread is about a year old though.
Feel free to post any new buys here or there dudes.
There are so many ways to film and from what I've learned the new setups are going to need a better PC.
I plan to experiment with my phone and a tripod.
All about what you plan to do. Everyone says to start simple though.
Learn to film and upgrade later.
Still useful tips in that thread. I still want to buy a camera. Just doesn't seem needed yet.

with 400 you can probably get yourself a vx21 setup, and if you can make that look right it looks pretty good. if not, you can probably get a dvx setup too. im not a fan of using DSLRs to film. i used to have one, and it got to a point where i hated filming with it. the vx1mk1 setup is the best, so what id recommend is you get something cheap now and just keep saving up for one. matter of fact, you could get a vx1 and some whatever fisheye or just film long lens until you can afford the mk1

a vx21 setup can look really good at night, even better than the vx1 sometimes
