a few pointers if you will....
basics....
flip tricks....
there locked to the turning dpad....
so if your doing a heelflip(left)....
he will turn as soon as you activate the heel....
practice hitting the direction of the flip trick seconds before you ollie...
to minimize turning....
grinds....
weight matters...
angles matter....
like real skating..
if your too far right...
it will be too hard to level back right....
so parallel and 15-20 degree is you range of execution...
manuals....
l1+up/dpwn+square...performed in the air....
you can link in...
but you cant link out....
as soon as you hit the triangle for a flip trick he will set up his feet and stop manualing...
triangle is the only button that cancels the manual...
so if your in nose manny...
and you want a n heel out....
hold l1....(the nollie set up button)...during the manual...
tap triangle and left at the same time....
very quickly to smoothly transition from manual to trick out....
snags...
backside 180 out of grinds...
you can not backside 180 out of any grind using the circle button...
you will have to skate a spot with a high enough drop to rotate out casually...
canceling all tricks and body movements...
by hitting square by its self in the air you will freeze...
literally....
never hit square in the air unless your canceling a 360 you wont finish...
sometimes it will let you roll away sideways instead of falling....
techniques....
canceling the the 360 for a backward style grind....
or..
a 180 to backwards grind....
it can only be done if you ollie and set the grind before you 180...
find a flat ledge...
hold circle..(the 180 button)
if you hit left or right on the dpad you will turn...
so like flip tricks....perform at last sec...
as soon as you start your rotation..
immediately set a grind with x....
he will stop rotating and perform the grind backwards...
feebles backwards are hurries...enjoy...
real switch/fakie....
setting up like a regaler trick on a bank..
hold l1+triangle....
as you roll backwards youll still be locked in....
i suggest finding a few ramps next to each other to gain more speed quickly...
you will run out of speed so closer the spot the better....
theres a music glitch....
happens on diff songs..
id just learn to cut the music off immediatly...
if you freze at the main menu then its becasue of the rundmc song...
i normally hurry through the main menu so i can cut the music off faster...
oh ps1 discs are shitty....
there may be a few more things...
