i found myself saying, "seriously...?" more than a few times in this, and not in a good way. Would have liked to see a lot better skaters in this.
I get the whole 'up and comer' type vibe, but you need heavy hitters to hold shit down.

Supafly's part was as expected, double grinds galore (which i like a lot), but didn't feel like the usual precise stuff you usually put out.

the problem with that is was getting ppl to commit to it... alot of ppl were stubborn as hell to give me anything... so i focused more on this issue with the up and comers and my friends and other stuff. it was very hard to get ppl to send me anything and alot of fights ensued becuase of it........ so i did what i could to get the ball rolling.

hopefully issue 2 wont be as stubborn in being partisan on it.

and being a FULL community video its not about who is the best skaters...... its about who you DONT notice. and i will continue to accent that throughout how long these last...

no problem with your comment at all embers,the communtiy is vast with all type's of skaters,from hardcore right down to love the game but never touched a board type skaters,it felt to me like a true community video,if you wanted in,you were in as long as you sent clips,and i like that for a change.


I also agree with your comment about my part,i dont think it sucked but at the same time i know right off its not my usual polish,originally snowbound was slated to be the profiles spot but that fell through just a week before release,i told monk i could fill in with a part,and i wont call it throw away or leftovers,i prefer the term "b-roll" footage from the solo i put out just a few days before that called "Bad one".

i totally understand trying to get people involved, can be a tricky process.

now that everyone has seen this, or will see it...
the quality of the platform is there, so dont be afraid to kick some asses and call some people out. we're mostly adults here, we can handle it. :cool:

honestly don't remember much talk about this, but i have a tendency to be focused on stuff, and miss things lol.

Nah... I dunno dude. This vid just felt like a community vid, footy from every corner or angle or however u wanna call it. I found it a nice watch, maybe cuz our team was in it all I remember me is enjoying the whole thing :D

monk you did great on this one, highly appreciate the community aspect of this, and the fact, how fast you actually put this beast out is just awesome. there are many decent thoughts in this video the whole 411vm feeling was brought over to fake skating which is very nice.
and how you actually implemented the 411 things like chaos, wheels of fortune, profiles and ads was gigantic.
i won't go to detail on the skating cause that was pretty decent throughout the whole thing.

next time i want the switchstance section in it ;)

Chaos was solid, nothing spectacular, had the 411 kinda feel though...

nice little commercials, cool seeing people i've never heard of.

The wheels of fortune with Kount something guy was cool, liked the vibe...Lots of spots/gaps i haven't seen...

That double vision commercial was trippy as fuck, great stuff...

SSS trailer, wtf!!! EPIC...

Overall the skating wasn't spectacular, but it had an authentic 411 kind of feel to it, and it was nice seeing some of the lesser knowns of the community. Props on putting in the effort on this Monk, the 20 mins or so went by so fast :)

thanks pawn that is what alot of ppl are saying... the time flies with the ads n stuff its an easy 20 min watch which what i was gunning for....... and that is my whole goal with most of these is to get other ppls names out that not many ppl watch their stuff and have alot of potential. it gets boring seeing the same ppl on top over and over again imo.... and i think these types of videos will get ppl to notice some of these cats.... cuz i mix it with them and some knowns...

makes a good watch imo; yes alot of ppl arent gonna like it but its always good to see new faces blended with the old ones imo.

Never had the chance to comment on this video Monk.. I liked this edit a lot man. It had a great vibe to it... A lot of good people that I never saw any of their stuff before and the in between edits were cool too with the ads and team spot. Liked the montages you threw together..

Next time I gotta send you some clips to get in on this... great work man!
