"Undoubtedly the biggest community aspect of the original game was the Reel editor. That, too, is being added to. You'll no longer only have access to the five built-in cameras -- you'll now have two options of your own. The first is your own "follow" camera, where you can freely move the camera around in space and then it'll follow your skater on his or her way. The second is a tripod camera which allows you to set it up anywhere you want (within reason) and it'll stay put as it tracks your skater. Both are tied to your recording markers, so you can change their placement as many times as you want in a single replay, just as you could with the other cameras last time out."

We're also working on updating the web skate.Reel so it's not so painful to sign in and find your videos :)

I think you'd be surprised at how many actual EA employees lurk around here and the skate site forums.

Yes, I work for EA :) Specifically, I work at Blackbox on the websites. So, I work closely with the Online Producer, Brian Lindley to bring you skate.Reel and other VERY cool web apps. We've got a LOT in our pocket this year (some of which I think was leaked *ahem*). Lots more details to come and those attending the community day will get a first hands on with it...even before many internal or media/PR people. Excited to start talking about it but I can't just yet.
