Appearing Offline - THe number one way to be an ass on XBL

I really hate this feature right now. sure its fun to do it just for the hell of it, but now its getting on me because ill log on and coincidentally my friends would all get off simultaenously when playing modern warfare, when a simple "no we dont want to play with you" or" we have a full party so dont join in progress" is easier and less of a douchebag.

The option must be there,i use it all the time,when i just wanna play and not be bothered,or watching a movie...who wants to be invited to game session while in the middle of a movie...

In your case though thats rough...ppl doing it to avoid 1 certain person is different.

there's different options

i appear offline to people not on my friendslist
you can also set it so you appear offline at all times for everyone. or busy/away for that matter.
plus you can turn notifications off while watching a movie. or turn it off completely.

Guide button, settings(I think, its the one blade thingy on the far right) preferences, appear offline. I do it soooooo much when I need to film shit, really glad it's there, sucks to hear anjo's getting dicked around like that though.
