Warning, In the announcement on these forums it says that people from Epic Games will investigate the beta players, if they do not have the launcher in there download history or is not an Employee, they will receive a ban from the beta and the actual Gear of War 3 retail game. Even though if they ban all the 10,000+ people who downloaded the beta they will lose more then $600,000. I don't think that they would want that to happen. So I think what they are saying is just a lie. Educational Purpose only -

What you need!
-USB that is configured with Xbox 360 Storage.
-The GoW 3 Beta.Rar file
-USB GUI EXPLORER or Xtaff

1.) Download a theme onto your USB, anyone, it doesn't matter...

2.) Open up your USB with USB GUI Xplorer.

3.) Open Content then the 0000000000000 file.

4.) Make a new folder called 4D5389B9 then inside that make a new folder called 00080000.

5.) Insert the Beta from the zipped file which you downloaded into the 00080000. It will say injecting Go to ur xbox.

6.) Plug your USB into your Xbox 360 start the Demo/Beta and it will ask you to update. Update it. You might get a black screen. Just wait for a little bit longer you will get an update

7.) The update is 501 Mb so find something to do for a little bit.

I watched a few of larry's videos on the dashboard and you have to buy a game to get into the beta
meaning>>you just got something for free>>Microsoft doesn't like that.. shit look at their outrageous prices and you judge.
I've lost interest in gears anyway though..
Played Gears 2 for a week or two, bored.

I see what you mean, but you can also drop $5 on a pre-order at GameStop, get the beta code, and cancel your pre-order.

Yeah...they were giving codes out everywhere...you didnt need to buy Bulletstorm.

Im so tempted to do this...but being banned from the retail copy would suck.

I did it and it worked. I unlocked the flame lancer for the retail copy, but I deleted the beta because I don't want to risk getting banned from XBL or the game.

I couldnt get any of the USB GUI programs to detect the formatted thumb drive...oh well...its probably for the better. GOW3 looks to cool to get banned from it.
