I wish VX was still industry standard. People haven't found a way to make HD look too nice yet. Only Ty and Jason Hernandez and a few others have really done it right.

As one of the comments says, it combines the best of both worlds. Some may think this hybrid stuff sucks, like a battery powered ferrari (not the best comparison, but as with the example video, it seems to go against its principles, or something like that).

I actually really like that, you get the wideness of the SD fisheye but the clarity of the HD AVCHD codec.
Do you know what camera and lens he's using?
EDIT: It's a possibility that he's shooting 4:3 on a DSLR. I know a few guys who do that with their 7Ds, I never really experimented with it but I like it.
I'm I really can't tell. The only two bike videos I've seen were made by the same guy, who films for Volume bikes. This one looks extremely well, the other one is not uploaded at HD like this one, I bet its 480p but still looks great.Quote:
