i just the box on and make sure im connected to my wifi
i also dont have live.
when i boot the game up it connects to ea automatically.
if it doesnt you can hit start and go to the online stuff and hit connect to ea.
thats all i do
your comment made me realize i didn't have an ethernet cable plugged into my xbox
