LOL this is so on point. It's not even that hip hop is dead either. There are lots of great lyricists these days. I guess I'm just a hip hop head and that some people appreciate it and some don't. I don't even have a problem with trap-sounding songs either! I actually like a lot of them and can't expect everyone to like the same music that I do. My problem is with rappers who mumble to the point where you can't understand what they're even saying and if you can they still aren't making any fuckin sense lyrically. Meanwhile, dudes like Kendrick and J Cole and Logic are writing bars with like 3 meanings at once.
