Ok so my friend an I are in the middle of a montage and well ill get to the point his converter sucks.
and i was wondering if any of you knew any good decent converters or maybe HD settings for "Any video converter" thats the name of the one he uses now

any help would be great

okay i have replied this same thing for at least 4 same discussions; For PC, Free Studio HERE http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/free-dvd-video-software.htm I recommend to Download whole studio because it has lots of useful programs...
For converting S3 videos i use it's tool called 3gp converter. Converting with same stream as input and 30 fps gives you this quality http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbSdo...eature=related (watch in 720p)

But you have to realize that in all simplyness it's all about editing program. Even McGyver can't save your HD converted clips if your editing program turns them into SQ (shit quality)
