sick shots Rocc, I actually really like that bench shot, and the following shot as well. I have to do this sometime soon... I miss the few days where I would get out and shoot a lot of random photos.

After school, I hung out with one of my best friends that I've known for over 14 years. We chilled in the studio at school, and I had brought my set-up and she took a picture of me with my fisheye and I find the end result really sick haha I normally don't really like pictures of myself, but I think it looks good because of that fisheye effect haha Take a look:

i digz it
Thanks Roc!
I needed this today lol I'm hella motivated to snap some photos again. Hopefully I'll get some more soon!
Nice pic bro, and good to hear you're in for somo camera action. I'd like to see more studio stuff tho, looks like you have everything you need at your school, that's great.
My friend is in that program, I was just there to help out. I'm trying to get into that program though. But damn I love doing messed up faces in front of that lens haha sooo much fun
Yeah, I don't want to sound arrogant, since I'm a beginner photographer and don't even have that kind of setup but, I've always thought fisheye shots makes everyone get that 'photographer status'. Like filming, everyone think fisheye clips are so professional and look so cool, but as longlenses, their have their special technique, rules, disadvantages and benefits.
Altho I can't deny theyre sick lenses to shot with, and us who are in the world of skateboarding (or any other extreme sport) can get the best out of them even after 10 days of having our first camera, and that's something to think about.
question for the photographers out there. i'm planning on buying a DSLR today, is it worth it to spring for a telephoto lens right away? I just don't want to be limited by the stock adjustable with a max of 55mm. i can also save like $100 by buying it now.
too late. bought it anyways. Canon EFS 55-250
fun fun

still getting the hang of shit
Congrats on your new acquisition man, you're gonna love it.
Fuck yeah Mamba, stoked you got into photog! How much did that lens cost you? I'd like to get that kind of lens.
pretty stoked on it. the long lens supposed to cost $300, but is on sale for $240. i love nature shit, so really happy i got it.
One from yesterday, I was about to crush with nothing but my bare foot eeeewww.

what the fuck, that spider is crazy as shit! sick shot though!
Thanks man. Luckly the warm weather is gone now so I wont be seeing these lil creatures for a long time.
I re-discovered myself today trying new things in post. Now I will be even more happy with my stuff!

Tight shot agus, some intense blur on the background! I feel like taking some shots soon. I haven't been out with my camera in a little while. I still didn't even test my lens for skateboarding yet because I've been quite busy with work. Should hopefully get some done when some of my buddies get back from their trip!
Work sucks. Rain too, but I managed to take some pics today.
This one isn't exactly what I was looking for but turned the mounted flash ON and got this. Interesting.
A friend of mine. From today.

You guys should try street photography.
Don't take this the wrong way, but anyone with a good lens and a general knowledge of using a camera can take shots of droplets on leaves etc. Don't get me wrong, that's cool too!
However, I'd love to see you guys go out into town, shove your cameras up peoples faces, take sneaky snapshots or simply asking people that interest you for a portrait. It's a thrill, and it's a lot more rewarding when your photos tell some kind of story. It's also a good way to meet new people.
This isn't critiscism or anything, I just would like to see your cities and people and everyday lives.
Just a thought, haha.

When you say take your cam with you downtown, you may mean doing some kind of journalistic photography, in the streets. Well that's something to be honest I'm not that much into, and it's a bit harsh and unsafe because of the high theft rate and all that.
long weekend up north
long lens swag
Super sick shots Mamba, haven't seen them until now!
I just came back from 2 days of shredding and chilling with my cousin. Finally tried filming with my fisheye, and it's sick as fuck. He didn't land anything really, but I managed to shoot some photos, sadly not action shots, but I might go with some friends this weekend and shot some shit. Should be sick. Here's one shot I like that I got yesterday;

Debaser, first and last shots in your first post are fucking gold
I'm gonna have to take a look at that flickr account of yours when I get some time over
You develop stuff as well? I really miss the darkroom magic

Scanning negatives is still a good way to play film-cameraman though.
That's awesome. I wish I could have taken up photo when I was in school... couldn't afford a camera back then so didnt even bother.
Once I graduated HS and got a job that actually paid decently (plus my first credit card) I finally took the plunge. I started off with digital, Nikon D80 with 50mm f1.8 about 5 years back. Played with that for a few years then upgraded to a d300 and bought a bunch of old Nikon AIS Primes (20mm f2.8, 35mm f1.4, 50mm f1.2, 80mm f1.4). Then began lusting for a D700 (fullframe). Got that, used it for a few years then got the Voightlander R4a rangefinder... shortly have getting the rangefinder I sold all my digital stuff and have been shooting film for around 3 years now.
I have a little Sony NEX-5n (highly recommended, use an adapter for my rangefinder lenses, and it suites my digital needs just fine.
Dude, awesome to have you active in this thread. Please never leave.
One from today, lightning in this ended up better than what it looked like at the shooting moment.
