I wouldn't try too hard to bring emotion in man.. it should be something you just feel on a track.
This is my opinion and I am not the best and likely never will be but just sayin
I don't really use a beat anymore unless I've got a message to send, you've got flow down pack
switch it up, try writing a story or some shit.
That might sound lame but it may help you in those areas.

intro was an accident....I was overlaying video for the intro and turned off the sound, rendered as it was but forgot to get rid of the sound completely on that certain track....and thats what happened. I could've been fucked if Lou Beats wasn't such a cool guy. messing with someone else's instrumental is never a good idea.

sampling is recording sounds from anything to use as a sound, or make an instrumental sound to add to the track. think of Jayz using Otis Redding in Otis.....so many diiferents sounds sampled from tracks recorded by Otis Redding from back in the day even his vocals were used as samples for the song.

Im not the best person to be explaining sampling....but that would be the just of it I believe.... you can sample anything that makes noise, with the right equipment.
