Hmm, interesting Stevie. I don't personally know anyone into this activity so Im gonna ask you:
How is the match? is it like a 'squad deathmatch' or get the flag or something?
how far do those guns shoot? what about the pistol? do they hurt if not wearing protective gear?
plastic pellets, right?
You seem to have an acog style scope along with the eostech so they probably shoot far enough for the 4x scope to be useful.
That actually seems fun man, Ive never even played a paintball match, have never been shot with a paintball gun for that matter hah, I still don't know how it feels.
After doing some google research, Im amazed at the number of guns available, there's pretty much every model of a real gun, but in airsoft version. damn!
Wouldn't mine owning a pt92, an ak, and the m700!
there are even airsoft shotgunsss
yeah pretty much every gun has an airsoft version, even like a flintlock pistol or the pp-19 bizon..
You can play whatever you want, every field has it's own unique games, we played some sort of capture the flag, king of the hill and search and destroy.
most of the guns have a range of 100 to 180 feet, with an average feet per second of 350 for most aeg rifles and around 300 fps for gas blow back pistols, so it definitely hurts more than paintball on unprotected skin, it can draw blood.
Most people use red dot sights because a magnifying scope isn't really necessary, but for a dmr (like my m14 ebr) or a sniper rifle it definitely helps out and just looks badass haha.
For me, it's sooo much more fun than paintball, because it feels more realistic and looks more realistic, it's also a gentlemen's game, which brings a certain type of gameplay. when you're hit, you have to call your hit, and most people do that.
i went with a group like 2 months ago, in a pimped out huge ass forest. old galvanized metal, hills, thick dense forest, and concealed bases everywhere. best craic ever bai.we all got ak's but the instructors had some more powerful shit. i loved it.
Stupid question but, is it hard to notice to random people that the guns are airsoft and not real ones? they look 100% real.
Have you ever took one out in the streets or a park or something?
Walking around with a handgun, even a plastic one, would be so dangerous to do here, for so many reasons.
Strategy-wise, it really sounds like a great activity to do. I'm not a big gun fan but, the intellectual factor of this, when playing with a squad, is tempting. Closest I am to this is when playing BF3; everytime I get to play on a good squad, everything just flows from then on.
The closest I get to airsoft is watching the anime "Stella Jogakuin Koutou-ka C³-bu"
which is about an Airsoft Club at an All-Girls High School.
