Oh man so do I
All those GC's I did are the ones is like to do now. The friendo, the kid smoking the cig, taxi driver, clockwork orange. I'd like to come up with some original shit. Like take the pic myself. I got a decent cam now. A Cannon t3i I just need to dial in how to use it. One of my buddies is really talented, he's done some work for Thrasher and he's stoked to help me. But I had limited time and I wanted to do pieces I thought would interest the masses (much like my GC choices)
I've been tossing around doing homeless portraits. I just think it's a cool idea and I think you can find beauty in just about everyone. Not sure anyone would want that shit on their wall or not, but it would be really interesting. I think if I get the cam thing down I could get good pics of them. It would be cool getting their story also.

whats up with the Red Rag?..... you use that to kind of mush and spread the Color? (less hard gradient edges)
anywho GOOD LUCK BROTHA, they are all so good man
You don't need any luck but I'll wish it to you anyway. Good luck! Hope it goes great B.
Thanks dude, these are done with a dry brush technique. The red rag is a paper towel. Basically you get paint on the brush then dab it all off. Then you slowly add layers and layers of color down til you get the shading you like. It's almost like airbrushing. It is just the easiest way (and most enjoyable to me) to get the look I'm going for.
Very similar to how I did GC's I just build and build layers of shapes.
I have never had any professional training. The GC's were the first art shit I did since high school so I just kind of wing it. I ain't kidding when I say I wouldn't probable do this shit if it wasn't for SKATE
Edit: thanks doc, your always my fav critic
