Fluckit Community Channel

A few of us where chatting last night, and it came up about potentially making a community channel for Skate Fluckit on youtube.

We discussed a few things that the channel would feature, a few things where more popular than other ideas but the one thing that really seemed to please everybody was a Weekly or Monthly community video roundup.

Think something similar to Skateline NBD that would feature one or maybe a couple of us, giving teasers of videos that the community is putting out, and also maybe talk about updates on things like Project: Skate, and if wanted On a Roll and also BMX the game. Hopefully being funny and entertaining at the same time.

There could also be much more on the channel such as community projects, competitions and community lets plays and things if everyone liked that idea.
I think that the channel could help get a new audience to see our videos, and act as a one-stop-shop to anyone who doesn't know the forum to find new riders and teams...

I will make a list of things that people like here, if it looks like we have a good basis for a Community Channel, then maybe we should put it into action. Please mention any idea's you like already on the list, and mention any you come up with not on the list.

Channel Ideas:

Weekly or Monthy Video/News Roundup | +6
(Skateline NBD is the closest thing to compare this idea too)

Community Challenges/Competitions | +6
(Things we organise and run through the community)

i really love the idea , the game news stuff is really good too

its also a good forum for king of the road . it's not supposed to sound mean but i never saw a single clip of KOTR just no clue where to watch O.o

this really sounds like a great idea and i hope we find someone funny who wants to make this on a regular base :-)

Dont worry HCH, you havnt missed anything. It was just way more work than I intially realised, and outside factors have come into play meaning I cant work on it even 50% of what I would of been able too. But it is close.

I didnt really realise how much time overlaying basically every single clip with challenge info and stuff would take, and a computer died so now me and my girlfriend are sharing a less powerful laptop which she also needs for her work too. Its very tedious and complicated but I will not let down the people that put in so much work, or the people who wanted to see it.

Seems like a solid idea if you can get it the attention it would need. And kept the content at a high quality.

Always liked the Roll'n vids, you knew you had to be dope to get one up on the channel despite the channel being small.

Will be following this would be cool to see.

Need to check out these Roll 'n videos, I havnt heard of it before, is it for skate or real life stuff?

And in terms on the quality required, I guess it would need to be good because I would not be the one to start trash talking anyones videos. So it would either be good enough that I could find something positive to say about it, or it wouldnt make the cut. I would assume we could get a regular couple of dudes who could decide what makes the cut each week or whatever?

EDIT: Also, is everyone happy with it being 90% focused on fake skating, but featuring a lil about the other extreme sports games too? (BMX and Inline ect.)

yeah some updates and links to the current status the games .. maybe qick talk about outstanding parts fro other games here and there ... :-)

I just checked out the links SK8R, They are cool but the ones I watched are mostly just actual video previews. Did I just choose the wrong ones or is that what they where?

Roll'n's were quick minute vids, but every one was butter. Same with PCTV.

It was the consistent quality that made them so popular.

Ahhhh cool. Slightly different direction but I can see the relevance. So I am thinking more and more on the actuality of setting this up. Before I go on with any work, Do you guys wanna see me at a desk trying to be funny / informative in a Skateline fashion? I had a cool idea for the desk to be made out of my old decks. The only thing I worry about is...

...Am I funny enough to pull it off...

Sweet, between E's graphics, I guess me and n00b could make a little news style intro track.

I just gotta figure out how I am gonna do the video overlays and stuff, I have never actually used my green screen. If anyone has experience, would love some tips and pointers.
