i landed all these tricks...
The weather has actually only just started to turn nice a few weeks ago so I haven't had much time to start getting new tricks done. Spent most of my skate days on refresher courses just make sure I've still got everything I can already do. I did learn hardflips of the switch variety the other day though but I only got 2 in a row, and it only counts if you get 3 so meh. I really wanna learn cab back tails, was trying them for months last summer but kept landing in back lip. Sketchy ass trick, that.
I just got a pogo fingerflip, no feet or hands touching at all
I had just learned Pogos like two weeks ago, and this was my second sesh trying the fingerflip variation, so pumped, gonna try and get a few of my new casper/pogo/primo variations filmed soon
Dude, pogo anythings are sweet as candy, and twice as dandy.
I got a great sesh in today with a buddy I'm trying to rekindle the love for skating with. He pointed out I'd gotten so lazy I couldn't crack an ollie anymore, so I fiddled a bit and got back:
Ollies, Fakie Ollies, Ollie 180's, Half-Cabs, Fakie Shuvs, Nollie FS and BS Shuvs, and the No-Comply Shuv. Also managed to hit this little pivot thing I liked to do off of curbs back in the day off a pretty decent ledge I ollied up onto. Basically, you head toward the edge of whatver you're on, and pivot 180 on the front truck on the corner. I dunno what it's called, but they're fun.
Also learned what I called the "Popit." It's a firecracker, down a whopping two stair. Also got a decent ally-oop kickturn thing going in the bowl, but decided to skate some street today.
Next sesh, getting my boardslide back.
Way to rekindle Don. I know the feeling with the ollies, I may go whole seshes, days, even weeks without cracking an Ollie, but that's more about priorities than laziness, and a realization that I never had a great Ollie anyway and trying to relearn and improve on a tiny board with no pop and concave is just a waste of time. But I do crack little ollies every now and then
