JPEG "JPG" usually chops things up.

oh trust me, i know. that was the first thing that made me say "god, i fucking hate macs" lol. i went to save as and the ONLY other option aside from jpg and psd was an object file or something similar. png was never an option, and if you look at the sig i made for Roccity(i think his name is over here) on a different forum, it's png.

Well I'm not sure what 16-bit means but this might be your problem solver here..

and in the future literally all I did was google "mac photoshop cant save as png"

i'm not too worried about it. i'm getting the different pieces so i can just build my own pc again and then i'll be set. mac's are so useless even the actions i had saved and perfect, when i loaded em up through the mac as soon as it gets to re-doing all the curves it constantly makes me re-do every single one. yet another reason why i was cursing apple's name.
