SOOOO much faster than the kit lens.
SOOOO much faster than the kit lens.
haha no doubt. how expensive (or not) was it?
$199. comes with lens hood bag and body/lens caps
damn that's actually a lot cheaper than I thought... might look into getting one myself
you got some awesome pics there dude! I freaking love your cat and the pic itself..
i guess i don't have flickr but you can check my pics out on my facebook http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...2737911&type=1
Took 'em with just a simple digital camera, nothing expensive
Those pics are sick man, that panoramic shot of the landscape was sick! Bruno seems sick too haha and that cruiser board looks tight!
If you're saying you liked the pic of the cat, it's not mine I was over at a good friend's place before heading out to a concert, and I brought my camera over and shot the cat and my friend playing guitar.
I got something on Facebook as well... haha kinda like this group I made for my photog for my friends to see and what not, but here's the link if you'd like;: http://www.facebook.com/groups/179020528843519/
oh really, but it's still an awesome cat! bruno is indeed sick haha! i love him to death!
explosions in the sky tickets awesome! i like the focus on that pic.. and that frontside nosegrind too..
i wanna have a new camera but i don't have the money and what i have goes to my driver's license so
The thing is, when I first thought about getting into photog, I spoke to Bullet (or something like that) about it, since he films IRL shit as well (he has a Canon 60D w/ that kind of lens), and he told me to start with that type of lens, so, blindly and excited about getting one, without knowing much about photog, I went on ebay and bought a 50mm prime f/1.8 lens for like 50$, but I bought it for SLR lol so for now I can't use it, but I can just get an adapter and hopefully it'll be alright...
God this lens is awesome...
My Flickr.

Just bought my D3100! Will post my flickr once I have any photos lol. Gonna read up on manuals and shit now.
Right got Flickr up and running. Will upload as often as I can when I have good enough photos to work with.
Here are my first 3 I've uploaded so far.
I know I'm a beginner, but you gotta start somewhere right?
Seanne's Flickr
damn Seanne, I love those pictures. Evening or early morning sky shots like those are amazing. Keep up the sick work man, added you as a "contact" on flickr
1st and 3rd shots were sick. Comp was awesome and i loved the saturation on the 3rd one.
it's not that the 2nd one was bad, just something was 'off' and i don't know what.
i got a bunch i need to upload.
I got some dope pictures http://www.flickr.com/photos/skatepreme/
Got my T3i, haven't had much time to mess with it but here you go:

Got my Stuff from ALYKCRU.COM, 2 copies of the Still Here DVD (one of the best bmx vids I've ever seen) and a bunch of stickers.
Wanted to start reppin the ActLikeYouKnow guys asap so I took this pic.
I saw those on Flickr earlier today man, I find that Bridge picture is sick!
I'm really looking into purchasing a fisheye recently, and came across this. If anyone knows a lot about lenses and whatnot, feel free to let me know if it's a good deal or not. I've read the reviews and they all seem super positive about it lol I'd buy it, but then again, when I started looking into that kind of stuff when Bullet was giving me some info, I went and bought the wrong lens haha so anyways, let me know if you guys think its a good deal or not

Jerr - composition on those pics (esp the bridge one) are great. The first and last really tell a story.
Shooting snow is hard, because you have the darkness of the shadows and the brightness of the snow/sky. You can tell that your light metering was done of the bridge because the sun and sky are so over exposed. Are you shooting with a DSLR? Tripod? i dabbled in HDR awhile back, which is really fun if you can get it right but it accounts for a high dynamic range (light-dark, its what 'HDR' stands for) by utilizing multiple exposures, usually 1 'prime' exposure then a couple 1-2 steps over exposed and 1-2 steps under exposed. Obviously this does not work with moving targets but when done properly it looks amazing.
Here's a good example, you get alot of the details in the dark ranges with having 'blown out' lights.
I'll start messing with HDR. And damn that pic's amazing =P
Thanks Roc.

First of all, nice pics, to all of you guys. Knexor props for such a nice pic, and move. you got skills bro!
Well, it's a decent lens for it's price. Idk much about Canon but I think you T2i has in-body autofocus option so, that's good, very good.
Those Rokinon are basically the same lenses (body, glasses, etc.) as the Peleng, Bower, Vivitar (the only diference with this is that the vivitar has a red stripe instead of the golden one). The tokina 11-16 comes from the same building too I think.
To be honest, being you from Canada, a First World Country, I would suggest you save up more money and get legit wide angle lens for your camera. (Once again, Idk much about Canon, but for example, one of (if not) the best fisheye lenses for Nikon are the Nikon 10.5 AF (even the Sigma 10 one...).
These 'cheap' lenses has not-so-good mirror coating (which leads to blurring and cromatic averration in the peripherical area of the composition) and many other downs.
I mean, if I had the money right now I would buy these because I can't wait to get this kinda lenses (as much as you do I bet), but they're still VERY expensive to us down here. Even more the nikon ones. How much are the best canon wides worth up there??
@ Roc: amazing shot, reallllllly like it, did you take it?
@ knex: fuckin dope picture dude! you got tranny skills!
@ agus: I've been dying to get a fisheye, but I'm probably the worst at saving up money lol the "cheapest" one I could find in-store was like 700$... this one sells for like 300$ and from the reviews, it's apparently extremely underrated, so I'd love to give that lens a try.
found a cool shot that never made it on my flickr while looking through my developed rolls folder
glass smith in mexico, summer travels.

Haha thanks dude! I was pretty happy about it... the pyramid is kinda awkward to skate actually, but still much better than not having one for sure. So fun to skate one of these!
I skated one a long time ago in Bradenton skatepark wayyy up in like Tampa. So fun.
