Default What Bands / Music does everybody like?

I'm getting old now so starting to mellow out, here's some of bands I'm into at the moment

Bon Iver, The National, Arcade Fire, Blind Pilot, The Antlers, The Middle East, Parov Stelar, Vintage Trouble, Four Tet . . . you get the idea. What about you lot?

Stuff I'm listening to a lot lately:

    Little Dragon - Ritual Union
    Jay-Z & Kanye - Watch The Throne
Sweatshop Union - Bill Murray EP
Hail Mary Mallon - Are You Gonna Eat That
Eternia and Moss - At Last
Jean Grae - Cookies or Comas mixtape
    Elzhi - Elmatic
    Warpaint - Exquisite Corpse
    Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues
The Wooden Sky - If I Don't Come How You Know I'm Gone
Skyzoo and Illmind - Live From The Tapedeck
Random Axe - Random Axe lp
    Gonjasufi - A Sufi and a Killer
Those Shocking Shaking Days compilation (Now Again Records comp of Indonesian funk)
    Fujiya and Miyagi - Ventriloquizzing
    Pharoahe Monch - W.A.R.

If you have any questions about them feel free to ask. They're not in any order. Just browsing through iphone.

EDIT - Based on your selections above... I think you'd really like the Fleet Foxes and Little Dragon stuff. The Wooden Sky is a friend's band from Toronto and I think you'd love them too.

The only Rap/Hip Hop I listen to is from the 90s(NWA, NAS, Biggie, Tupac). Not a big fan of that genre these days. Mostly, I range from all different areas of rock. Bands like CKY(obviously), Fireball Ministry, Rise Against, Foo Fighters, and many others. I mainly like songs that have a meaning or a good message in them. Anyone can "write" a #1 hit, but if it doesn't mean anything then what is it for?

Yeah The Mix Up was a good record. Saw them when they toured for it. They've always been great musicians.... but it was great to see them perform as a full band for a whole show. I would have loved it if they did a few old hardcore songs....

Good idea for a thread, makes other people, including myself, discover new stuff. Wiltz video was sick, but Stevie's... the girls were hot, but the song was terribad hahaha

Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Sonic Youth, Explosions in the Sky, Notorious BIG, Yuck, Foster the People, Her Space Holiday, Nico Vega, Ice Cube, Wu-Tang, Trivium, All that Remains, August Burns Red... just to name a few. As you can see, I have extremely varied tastes in music lol

I like anything really and don't restrict myself my to types of music. If i Like it I like it. that said since I was about 11 when Jungle/Drum and Bass started taking off in the Uk I've pretty much a D'n'B fiend. I like listening to it while I'm walking to work. Recommneded artists are Andy C, Shimon, Moving Fusion, Netsky, Memro, Noisia, Camo & Krooked, Rollz, Sub Zero and Loadstar to name a few!

Everything that has anything to do with either hardcore metal, or dubstep is what i'm listening to right now.

Slipknot, Lamb of God, Bullet for my Valentine, Tool. All that shit makes my cherry pop.

Then, Skrillex, Flux Pavilion, Zeds Dead, Nero. Makes my strawberry pop............i don't know...

Fuck yeah, Twin Atlantic is SICK! Last year, I went to a Fall of Troy concert, and Twin Atlantic played there too, along with Envy on the Coast. Really sick show overall, but Twin Atlantic is really sick though. Their entire album is good, you should look it up.
