OOOOK! i'll kick it off WITH A BAAAANG!
I see your Daladubz
and raise you one RUF!
Didn't even have to think, you are defeated :
I love dubstep.. just not as heavy as you lot posted. I'm more into liquid dubstep, chillstep etc.
Here's a few example of my favourite songs.
Was thinking of using these songs in a video. Hasn't happened yet, but maybe. So no stealing ok? :P
This is the song I will use for my next vid. So it's reserved lol. Great DnB tune!
Same for this one. Planing on using later on.
That's the kinda dubstep I enjoy.

I like that Gloth Trad tune ^^
here is a d&b playlist
http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0E5CBE7F57D9A2E3
most of it is pretty old but hey d&b is kinda dull atm
agreed ^
Too many subgenres these days as people try to make themselves "special".
Bear "replicant" Powell
"I am Shaolin-Style!"
XBL: replicant#2618
Currently Playing: Diablo 2 Resurrected, Elden Ring, Skate 3
not sure i get what you mean
about the subgenres, most of what people call dubstep has nothing in common with "classic" dubstep (where's the melody ? where's the bass ?)... apart from 140bpm tempo. But at the same time, this tempo wasn't actually "used" in electronic music. So yeah its kinda what defines dubstep nowadays hence the subgenres.
Born in the UK, it spread over europe and the us, etc. and it evolved...so it's pretty logical every country / continent brought his own background to the table. That's what artists / musicians do... get inspiration, bring personal stuff to get something special in the end.... nothing wrong with this (that's what i don't get about your comment).
That's why now there is good stuff coming from everywhere on the planet. i like it. On the contrary, what is wrong is homogeneity... meaning many producers use the same presets, same sound with one unique goal : getting the filthiest sound.... doing the same... pushing further in the wrong way. THAT is really dumb...
No musicality, no melody, no bass... it's all about industrial machinery and horrendous vocals, cheesy intro and retarded beats. there's still some good stuff out there but a lot sound the same and most of it got no soul...no artistic value... it's just ephemeral party music... and it's sad but that's what most people want... dull party dance music like this
http://youtubedoubler.com/?video1=ht...orName=Slamooh
seriously ?!
But whatever... to each his own....i'm more into mental music i can enjoy with my headphones or basslines that move my guts...
Diversity is still the way to go... more diversity means more chance to listen to great tunes.
btw huge filthy tune :P

This scene is seriously burgeonning in the states.
It's more diverse than dubstep when it comes to tempo (90 / 140) but its pretty recognizable
if you re open for slower and more breaky stuff... you should all check ediT (a guy from the glitch mob)... he makes crooked but amazing music

I love DnB and Dubstep, though I'm more of a DnB fan tbh. If you like DnB I can upload you a ton of stuff to soundcloud for you if you want.
I got a few session of me DJing back in like 96 to 02 from various vents and pirate radio sessions.
DnB wise these a few of my favs, some old, some newish:
My alltime fav producer and DJ remixing this one. I prefer his VIP veriosn without /example on it but can't find it anywhere.

If you like Liquid DnB, Netsky is prolly one of my favs, and memory lane gives me cold chills.

Loadstar at their finest IMO. Seen many a venue devasted when this gets dropped.

One of the most brutal tunes to hear live IMO, full on mental assault

Mampi Swift (using what I believe is a Reason Music Studio preloaded sample for the start. lol)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2nOq325_70
Moving Fusion doing somehting a bit different, used to love dropping this at raves, always got a big reaction.

Old one Its Bad Company and a bit weird (Jim Morrison on the sample) plus its BC before fresh did the offski and went solo:

Love this - tune and the edit! lol. 1.45 is genius.
