Was surprised to find this thread all the way on page 5 haha! Last date of activity is surprising... all the way back in october... damn!

Haven't seen that photo when you posted it Agus, great one! Again, spot is ridiculous.

Last Sunday, a good friend of mine invited me to shoot pictures for his band at some super small venue with the worst lighting condition possible. I was able to get a few nice ones, but would've liked to have more decent ones. The band liked them, and asked me to shoot some promotional shots for their band, stoked! Anyways, here are the photos in question:

Oh, and this week I decided to get 2 more lenses for my AE-1. Both Mitakon lenses (cheap ones, but well built, good quality, and a good deal based on how much I payed for them). 135 2.8 and 35 2.8

damn agus, really dig all the ones you just posted. The cat sequence is pretty dope haha! I've tried a few times getting something similar to the photo of the view from your roof but never really succeeded. I like those sky pictures with everything else having a black silhouette, dope!

Thanks man. Yes, second picture is kinda meh, my friend gets lost in the background, but natural lightning conditions were exploited in the best way possible. That same picture with atleast 1 off camera flash to the left of the stairs, ground level would be great.

It definitely is a great creative outlet! If you kind of lack the funds though, you can always get a loan I guess. That's what i did because i wanted to go into a photography program at some college i was at but didn't get accepted lol but yeah, i lacked the funds as well, but with that loan i was able to get some gear to start with.

You don't really need expensive camera equipment to get into photography.
I mean, yes, you would like to get a camera with certain features, manual mode capabilities and such.
you could also get a cheap film camera, like a point and shoot for example. They may be fully automatic, but they let you shoot a picture every time you see it, and get composition skills in the meantime.
