note...
it looks like you were going for sketchy landing so im gonna add a note if thats cool.
you dont have to land sideways in order for the game to do what you want.
you just have to convince the game you landed sideways...

ex...
completely straight about to land.
that milli sec before wheels touch ground.
adjust the sticks left or right or both and get the weight of your character to move right as/during landing.
that way you land straight and get what ever animation you want...

watch your shoulders...
