Monk, every "new" marine ship has some kind of electronic warfare (ew from now on) on board. BUT!, and here's the point in 9,5 of 10 ew is used for self protection!!! EW is about detecting threats like enemy radar and jamming this, detect enemy communication (find where, what and who is it), detecting incoming missiles and misleading them by chaff flare or destroy them by whatever countermeasures are on board. Worst thing would be an "EMP" in any form.
