I didn't grow up with the game at all, I watched a friend play it once though, all I remembered was the courthouse and cops with tazers haha. It's a shame because I played Dave Mirra as much if not more than the THPS series, same engine as Thrasher I believe.

it looks like some clips you arent in hardcore mode...
which i think is ten times better because that freeze reminds me of straight legs in .skate...
still a bunch of rad clips..

definitely the same engine...
thrasher does things dave doesnt and visa versa...
both great games...
still play dave on my cpu from time to time...

got a part time starting in march...
12 dollars for a box controller dongle...
already have thrasher and an emulater dl...
excited....
i cant take my box to the emp(art gallery) because theres no tv...
only a projector and massive pa system...
but but but i can play thrasher on my cpu all fucking night...

i remember like 2 years ago i figured out how to do real sw and fakie but i never got a chance to go back to every spot its capable at...
which is a shit ton of spots...
one push..set up...bump into wall..go backwards..find hill...speed..do tricks...
set up...go up qp..go backwards..do tricks...emb..
its an entire new feature to the game that i never got to fully embrace...

Yeah Demz, every trick was Hardcore. Only played normal mode the first sesh, never went back. For me Hardcore mode is the way to go, keeps things interesting, and in combination with the character im using you can get some seriously low pop

It was really fun since I have so little experience with the game, wasn't sure at first what was hard or film worthy

if you pop next to what you want to grind and hit the buttons before you leave the ground you auto hit the ledge rail without going over..
its like auto suction for low pop....

im still an hyped to play this game as much as i am for .skate...
shit is classic...

do 360s and cancel for lips slides = 270 boards...

Best song in the game, from one of the purest rap bands ever.
This video made my day pawn, so many memories coming back thanks to this 1min. video.

About the engine, yes, same as Mirra's (both game by Acclaim and Z-AXIS). I had mirra in my ps1 console for almost a year without taking it out, I can even say after these 7 years of bike riding, dave mirras' game got me into it. One thing mirra didn't have that Thrasher did was stairs, LEGIT stairs hahah. Even so, those 6ft long steps were fun as hell.

Also in expert mode if you press the land button just before you land, there is no strange freeze animation.. I never realized this until like a year ago.. Now I play in expert mode a lot, I only used expert like 15% of the time in the past because i hated that freeze animation, so now its like a new game kinda sort of..

yeah its pretty cool. You can even press it like just after you land, adds a fun challenge trying to get everything clean with no straight arms

Excellent work man and definitely brings out the nostalgia factor with the game and music.
We need a Thrasher HD remake now.

Edit: A Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX HD remake would fucking own as well.
I do need to find out who has rights to DMFBMX since Throwback Entertainment didn't get it from Acclaim when they bought out the library.
