Even though I'm not really part of the debate and even though I LOL'd when I first read that article, I think Kony 2012 and this public masturbation thing are two different events.

My whole opinion is that this is like the 10% movement, that this Kony 2012 movement is going to be passe within 2 years tops. To me it just seems like a trend movement resembling a bowel movement that is going to pass through and everyone is going to look back on it like Tiananmen Square, as it was the "major" conflict to be up in arms about.

I really hope not. Clicking a link on Facebook and Twitter does not even slightly correspond to taking physical demonstrative action against an oppresive regime like Tianmen Square or the recent events in Northern Africa.
